3 NBA stars should’ve made the ALL-Star team

3 NBA stars that I think should’ve made the All-Star team are Kyrie Irving instead of Kemba Walker. I think Kyrie Irving should’ve been selected instead of Kemba Walker because Kyrie is averaging 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game while Kemba is only averaging 22 points, 4 rebounds, with 5 assists per game. So as you can see Kyrie stats speak for themselves, he is overall better than kemba. After starting this blog i realized that the only reason Kyrie wasn’t selected was because he hasn’t been healthy enough to play in enough games. Another All-Star that didn’t make the cut was Devin Booker. Devin Booker is averaging 27.2 points 4.1 rebounds and 6.4 assists, he one of only 6 players to ever do that 3 Hall of Famers in Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Oscar Robinson and 2 future Hall of Famers in Lebron James and Steph Curry . Russell Westbrook was selected over Devin Booker because of their teams records but if you look at the stats Russells shooting stats are 23.4% from 3 point range, 45.4 inside the 3 point arc with 79.1 free throw no wheres even close to Devins Booker which are 50.6% inside the arc, 36.3% 3 outside the 3 point line with 91.7% free throw. The only reason Russell gets selected over Devin is because the Houston Rockets have a better record with 32 wins and 18 losses and the Phoenix Suns have only 20 and 30 losses. Bradley Beal should have been selected for the All-Star game instead of Kyle Lowry. Bradley Beal has no help in Washington with the Wizards because John Wall is hurt all the time and they just don’t have the playmakers to surround Bradley Beal. He is averaging 29.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game but since the Wizards only have 18 wins with 33 loses, in my opinion Bradley Beal was just entirely overlooked. Kyle lowry is only averaging 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.4 assists to per game which is not better than Beals. Kyle is also surrounded by many playmakers such as Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Marc Gasol, and Serge Ibaka so his team has a better record with 39 wins and 14 loses. I think that He was selected solely based off of the team he is on not his overall skill.

A 4 Team Blockbuster Trade

A blockbuster trade happened last night with the Rockets, Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves. These four teams agreed on a deal to send Clint Capela and Nene to the Hawks but they lost a 2020 first round lottery protected pick which was kind of not worth it because Clint Capela is not even a top 20 pick. But Capela makes much more sense for the Hawks than Andre Drummond. He is the more versatile defender, though he’ll have a tougher time against the bigger center and forwards, and his offensive role fits better into their all-Trae Young-everything dynamic.

The Denver Nuggets get Keita Bates-Diop, Gerald Green, Shabazz Napier, Noah Vonleh, and Houston’s 2020 first round pick. The only win the the Nuggets got in my opinion is with Thursday’s trade deadline, they’re a win-now team with a bunch of salary filler and, now, a additional first-round pick in the their back pocket. In return for the Houstons center Clint Capela they got Jorden bell, Robert Covington and Golden States 2024 second-round pick, which they got from Atlanta. Covington is a more accurate shooter than he’s shown and a great defender with amazing hands, and he has the size and mobility to capably guard four positions. Adding someone like him, with two additional years left on his contract, extends Houston’s feature.

Minnesota received Malik Beasley,Juan Hernangomez, Evan Turner, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Brooklyns 2020 first-round pick (lottery protected from Atlanta). Minnesota is rebuilding. Not trying to win, not attempting to straddle two different timelines but actually, genuinely rebuilding. Rosas has made that inarguable.

Introduction to NBA’s Blog

The topic I want to blog about is the National Basketball Association otherwise known as the NBA. I choose to blog about the NBA because it’s very intriguing to me, I like to see people getting dunk on, get their ankles broken and splash 3s. I hope to accomplish making my blog well known throughout homer high school and achieving a specific knowledge for the NBA.
